I play on a period violin that was made by Henry RAWLINS, circa. 1770-1780 in London, England. He was patronised by the violinist Felice Giardini, who spent the greater part of his life in London as a composer, violinist, concert director, and was director of the Italian Opera.
In complete contrast, my bow is very modern and was made by a local bow maker, Andrew Bellis. Together, they make a beautiful sound over all ranges and musical styles, despite the age difference of over 2 centuries!
